Telecommunications Refund Service

Telecom services are often the third largest expense for companies after payroll and property.

  • U.S. businesses lose $13 billion/year in telecom billing over-charges. (Gartner Group) Only 2% is ever recovered.
  • U.S. businesses waste over $38 billion a year, mostly due to telecom company errors (Aberdeen).
  • Up to 85% of mid-market company telecom bills are paid in full and are not audited by the organization.
  • When a typical telecom audit is conducted, billing analysts most often examine just a small subset of invoices associated with the largest spending, leaving potentially millions of dollars not found in other telecom spend areas.

Large companies sometimes overpay millions for hundreds of separate services that IT departments and accountants struggle to keep up with. Telecom providers know this and they are required by law to let companies know when better deals become available and provide refunds when audited.

We can recover charges going back as much as 10 years in some cases, depending on the contract and even more into the future. Rodney Ramlochan runs our telecom recovery division. He was in charge of Fortune 500 accounts at Verizon for over 20 years with 300 auditors under him. He realized telecom companies like his were overcharging companies millions every year for services.

Rodney took 48 of the top auditors from AIG, AT&T, Verizon, Bell Atlantic and PricewaterhouseCoopers to start an auditing firm to help companies.

Once overages are identified, calculated, and proven, telecom companies are required by law to refund cash for these overages retroactively. The providers send refund checks back directly to your company. We prefer to work with companies spending $1M+ per year. No less than $300k per year or $25k per month.

Most large companies we work with have internal auditors or hire outside auditors. We have recovered as much as 20% even if other auditors have already performed a full audit.

You can recover 6-10 years of losses without spending any time or money. Services are conducted off-site in 30-60 days for an agreed on percentage of the funds recovered. We begin as soon as we receive billing information and letters of carrier authentication.
